Moved to Cali successfully. Traffic here is...interesting.
So a fauxgressive on my friends list was ranting about the how awful the health care bill is. I fucking laughed...I ALMOST ALMOST ALMOST reminded them that they voted for Obama and thus are responsible for this. But those type of people never take personal responsibility for their decisions. They continue to think their oh so progressive while voting for the right wing.
You see I warned people what was going to happen. No one wanted to listen to me.

I fucking hate the Democrats. I am done with them on the National Level forever. This bill sets back universal health care by at least 20 years. THANKS A LOT YOU FUCKING PIECES OF SHIT.
Hopefully some states say fuck you and start going Universal Health Care. I still think Cali is gonna get it in the next couple of years. At least I hope so. Get Arnold out, repeal prop 8, and get universal health care. Lets do it Cali!

Saw the Manic Street Preachers live in concert.
So, I think that pretty much concludes the list of "favorite bands I want to see" that I haven't seen yet. The fact that I've seen GO!GO! and the Manics live, in America, is fucking insane and awesome. I should've went to more of the Manics tour but I am pretty much saving every single penny I have for my move.
It's insane that in less than a month I will be living in Los Angeles.

Here is an update in my life. I am moving to Los Angeles in November and umm yeah.
Manic Street Preachers in October! First American tour in 10 years and they actually honored Richey by making a good album again! I am looking forward to seeing the new songs live. Hell I'm looking forward to crossing off the "to see" list of my favorite bands. Who ever thought that the Manics would tour America again? But after GO!GO! toured here TWICe I guess anything is possible!

Twitter has proven itself while CNN continues to be be a worthless joke. Of course now twitter is being flooded by attention whores and the iran gov is fighting back but they aren't able to suppress the news.

Well gee...remember how I talked about how Obama likes to campaign with homophobic bigots?
Obama is expected to bring African-American voters out in record numbers, and those voters are seen as often being more conservative on issues involving homosexuality.
Pastor Edward Smith of Zoe Christian Fellowship has been urging members of his Los Angeles area church to vote for the gay marriage ban.
"Marriage has always been defined as a man and a woman," Smith says.
For Smith, it's the most significant item on the November ballot.

The one standing is my new baby.
I still don't have a name picked out yet but omg this cat is absolutely adorable. Talkative and full of energy! I have always loved Siamese cats and Trek, not to mention Charcole (I miss you every day), I believe are part Siamese. At least some type of oriental. This one is purebred and simply adorable. I mean...look at em standing there commanding your attention!
I really just want Trek to have a friend. I do think Trek gets lonely and hope this will help Trek out. Of course I expect Trek to be pissed for at least a few days but I am hoping due to how young the kitten is (6 weeks) that Trek won't see it as a threat and will bond with it easier. I mean Trek is a 15 year old cat now (birthday was yesterday!) and a kitten will help keep em youthful!
So I get to take em home later this week. Still needs one last round of shots and stuff from the vet.

The house feels so empty without you.
I love you I love you! You were my baby.
I am remembering all the good times, the memories of you and how awesome you were. I've known you half my life, that is incredible when you think about it.
You were the runt of the litter, but you never let that stop you. You acted as though you were the strongest and biggest of the litter. I remember one time Trek ran out of the house, encountered a huge dog that started barking and you ran out to protect your brother. You were smaller, the dog was huge but you were ready to fight it. And I would've bet money that you would've won!
You weren't scared of thunderstorms. It'd take a really loud bang of lighting to get you to notice. Only if it get super bad out would you slowly go to a hiding spot to hang out with Trek.
It pained me to see you deteriorate so much in your final days. I knew this was coming...but it still hurt. You were a cat that would jump everywhere and then your leg gave out on you. Eventually small jumps like jumping on my bed became too much for you.
Last night I am happy we had a moment together. I was able to wrap you in my arms, hugging you...telling you how much I loved you. You purring was weird, but I could tell you were happy and you loved me.
My mom came over at 2, the time you demanded we feed you, and my mom discovered you were dead. You'd picked a spot by the heater and rested your head on a towle I'd placed there incase my window ever leaked again. You looked so peacefully comfortable. It was as if you picked to die then and made yourself comfortable and warm.
I've been crying all day, and I know you wouldn't want me to do that. Whenever I was feeling down you'd always come over and comfort me. I really miss you.
We decided to cremate you and got you a really nice urn in the shape of a cat. It reminded me of you soo much.
Feeding Trek today was so weird. Trek left food for you...food you'd have eaten in about 5 seconds. Trek seems to be sad and missing you. I worry about Trek now...Trek has been with you forever. I know you two didn't always get along but when you'd sleep together, putting your arms around each other and resting your heads against each other it was the most beautiful thing in the world. I loved watching the both of you licking each others heads.
Of course you already knew that. You were cocky and thought you were hot shit. you did have a 1 on you back after all!
Its weird baby. I didn't cry right away, as i knew your death was coming...but even preparing myself for it I still couldn't help myself from breaking down. It doesn't change the fact I miss you so much and loved you so much.
My mom has asked if I am going to get another cat and I don't know. While I worry about Trek being lonely no one can replace you. You were one of a kind and fucking awesome in every single way possible. I am very lucky I got to spend half my life with you. You were my kid for the most part. While everyone came and went you were always there.
I tried to give you the best life possible. I just hope I succeeded. I will always miss you and love you. Thank you for being so awesome.

Oh christ LJ posted about vox.
As some of you know, I have a vox account and am a beta tester of sorts. I knew there would be drama when people discovered vox. It wasn't exactly that sixapart was hiding it, it just was something that was still in early development.
Vox, and not to sound like a cheerleader but I probably will, is incredible. It's one of the best web services I've EVER used. It's everything livejournal should've been to begin with. The multimedia aspects of the site are fucking incredible and super easy to use. People that think it is simply a myspace clone are idiots, it's not anywhere close to being a myspace clone.
When Beth first told me about vox I was skeptical. Oh yet ANOTHER blog...just what the world fucking needs. But it won me over because it's so fucking awesome. The ability to post pictures in a blog has NEVER been easier. The ability to share pictures and videos...it's not just fucking linking to youtube you can upload shit yourself. Private shit you don't want the whole world to see if you want too.
The interface for posting is soooo clean and beautiful.
It's amusing, because today I had some idiot randomly IM me trying to get in. I lied and said there was nothing I could do to get them in. I could've given them an invite on a Starter account (which get upgraded to a a Standard account eventually) but I don't like it when people IM me randomly asking me how to "get in". If people want to comment on my blog entries on vox, or the videos/pictures whatever just ask for a starter account invite and I'll give you one. But I don't want to give them out to people that don't care about me and just want "in".
If I had to compare LJ and VOX it'd be like this. Livejournal is for people that want a traditional journal that is on the internet for people to read. It has nice friends list management and a strong community system. It's not going away!
Vox is for people that want to combine blogging with multimedia. Making videos to share with your friends, sharing music and of course posting pictures. You can share these multimedia files with the world or just a select few of friends. Every post I make on vox has a picture attached to it, or eventually a video file or music. It's multimedia and a new way to communicate.
Each has a different focus. To suggest otherwise is ignorant and stupid.

So my mom and I went out to eat tonight. The food wasn't that great...the real interesting thing happen on the way back to my place.
We're in the country, Sylvania Township, and I happen to catch a sign that doesn't look right...

HAHAHA WTF?!?!?! Now my mom said that was probably gang related or something. But this is out in an area that has ZERO gang activity! It's like...totally open around there. It's weird, because that sign seems so fucking racial. I mean it's an obvious hick barn...so the only thing I can think it means is no black people. But that'd be seriously fucked up.

So yeah...not much has been going on. I had a busy weekend, hanging out with Ela and finishing my book review for class. Tomorrow will be a day of rest...although I am thinking of going out and buying a new ipod. I'm still not sure as I've been debating about it for like a week.
Here is a picture of me that I don't really like much but whatever. Not every photo will be great...some are quite awful like this one! It's from our trip last summer to the Marblehead lighthouse. It's on the stairwell of the lighthouse...steep steep steep.
I had to refrain from watching this horrible show on CBC. Apparently it's this seris called battle of the sexes...or war or some image that envokes difference. It was the most garbage one sided piece of gender propaganda I'd ever seen. It was horrible and easily refuted...I wrote a huge long rant about it while it was on but decided not to post it because I hold myself to a certain quality now. And it was just a jumble of pure raw emotion at being pissed off (it was a really shitty program). But apparently it's apart of a series to try and justify gender. It was all junk science...hilarious junk science but junk science nonetheless.
I was so disappointed to see the CBC show such crap. My respect for Canadia is so low nowdays. First Harper and now that? Tsk tsk tsk.
I'm still pleased about that A on that book review! Haha some idiot in our class wrote 15 pages! The Professor stated to keep it under 1,000 words. OOOPS on them.
Some idiot who is a Republican and running for the house tried to add me on myspace. It's scary that myspace is now the future of political campaigns. The internet offically sucks now btw.
I think I am going to add spinning "Under Construction gifs" to my myspace page and add an annoying midi and just a lot of annoying gifs.
Angela drew that for me! My super late xmas present to Angela was a tablet...so Angela drew that for me. I think it's really awesome and proudly show it off!
Everyone should draw pictures of me...my ego would love that.
Of course Angela has only seen me wear flannel like twice hahahaha. It's just the idea that I would that is funny...it's that whole cliche thing. Ahhh reminds me of 1995 when I DID wear flannel every day. But really...who didn't?
Angela's most impressive working is currently hanging at the art muesume. Photo realistic figure drawings...incredible.
You know what I hate? Merging on highways at night. Granted I dislike doing it during the daytime but at night is just so annoying. I hate the whole merge aspect of highways...and try to avoid them in cities. So it sucked last night...coming home from Ann Arbor (we always seem to get lost in that city and end up on 23 in different spots)...well last night we took Main to 23 and that part of 23 is MERGE-MERGE-MERGE-MERGE it's like WTF!!$!!$ FUCK YOU MICHIGAN!!!! YOUR HIGHWAYS SUCK MICHIGAN...asses.
Driving lately has been annoying me. It seems as though everyone is always in a hurry. There is this black SUV that lives around me that drives like a maniac. They've already almost caused 2 accidents with me! The only reason they haven't is due to my defensive driving! It's so absurd...they almost have an accident with me and then up ahead they almost have an accident with that car and so on. It's almost like...why do you have a license? Or I should say who did you blow to get your licenses???
I love people that wear skirts/shorts/flip flops in cold weather. Idiots.
Drunk people have been annoying me lately as well. Drunks have always annoyed me, even when I drank, but now it seems more so than usual. It's so sad that people don't know how to have fun without drinking. What boring lives those people must live.
Ben wants to go to a Star Trek convention...that should be fun! There is one in Cleveland in April...but I refuse to go to that one due to lack of DS9 guests! Don't care about Enterprise or Voyager (both awful shows and their fanbases are mentally retarded). Although it would be fun to heckle those actors! Hell it's fun to heckle Voyager and Enterprise fans! Although that one is a bit expensive and I really wouldn't want to go to a convention unless there was a DS9 actor or TOS actor (you never know when they're gonna die!)I don't feel like paying all that money just to heckle actors of a shitty show.
I would heckle them and I would make Star Trek geeks cry! See I like some TOS-some of TNG and consider DS9 a masterpiece. Voyager and Enterprise are pure utter garbage and should be mocked. The fans of those shows should also be mocked because really...watch those shows and you'll want to mock them as well.
I'd love to meet George Takei because that gay man has the greatest voice ever. I heard Takei is doing the voice overs for Howard Stern now? Weird.
So I listen to Akiko Hamada's new solo album and yeah...Yuu is the talent in GO!GO!7188. I doubt anyone would've argued with that to begin with...but yeah.
Why is every time Forrest Gump is on TV I feel the need to watch it? it is one of my favorite movies and I do consider it one of the greatest movies of all time. But I've seen it a billion times...yet EVERY TIME I sit and watch it! EVERY TIME!!$!!!! WTF WTF WTF!
I am going to see V for Vendetta tuesday with Ben. I didn't notice it until Natalie Portman was on the daily show but that person has the MY HEAD IS TO BIG FOR MY BODY SYNDROME...which is common in anorexia and general unhealthiness. That look is so fucking ugly and honestly...I used to think Natalie was one of the few hot people in the world. After that...NO FUCKING WAY. So fucking gross. Midget body - big head is NOT SEXY!
But anyways, I dislike Natalie for being a douchebag. Someone who mentions how they went to Harvard whenever possible, like thats a big deal. Anyone famous can get into Harvard. That just makes me lose respect for you.
Ivy League schools are not good schools...they are just elitist institutions that are selective. The quality of education isn't any better. Infact, quality of education is one of the biggest scams ever. Education is education and it annoys me to see people try to justify that their education is somehow more valid than someone elses. Shit, the lower the graduation rate the better the education in my opinion! If everyone is graduating it can't be that tough!
I am a firm believer in open access for everyone. If people decide to fuck that up thats their choice. But everyone should have an opportunity to learn. Being selective and elitist is so counterproductive to society. It's not a progressive ideal. So all these "progressive communities" around so called 'elite' universities are progressive in name only. They are the future yuppies of the world. It's like how the hippies sold out. Ann Arbor is suppose to be this neat progressive community but it's not. It's just some yuppie area with a high cost of living and bad traffic.
